Hydrogen sulfide, H₂S, sulfane, etc, is an evil little gas that most people know as the reek of rotten eggs. It's liberated far too easily from sulfuric acid (H₂SO₄) and was the source of much chemistry mayhem as a child.

I don't know what kind of organic alchemy results in sulfane exploding forth from humans. I don't know if lighting a candle helps. I'm not sure at what point it is possible to succumb to the fumes and die. Or, if the whiskers on my cat will ever grow back.

I do know I wish I didn't have to ask myself these questions. OMFG, I need a vacuum hose and a hazmat suit.

ROFLMA - I was ok until the cat whiskers. Living with a man who has been known to clear houses with his ... bodily gasses, I can appreciate the situation.
