Mad Maudlin goes on dirty toes / To save her shoes from gravel...
Extra good lightning this morning. I'm the first one in and have been for the last hour. The water was so deep where I got out of the car that it came up to my ankle.
I did something very silly, I took off my shoes, rolled up the work pants, and basically waded to the office. My fear was the danger of detritus on urban streets, but I didn't step on anything nasty. My pants are still wet, but my feet are in dry socks. I win.
I'll be here until the water recedes. In parts it was above my bumper. Shouldn't be more than forty bloody days.
