A whole lot interesting computer news this week.
Some fellow may have solved the DNS poisoning problem. Since the initial discovery and subsequent appearance in the wild most notably in China, I've noticed my own ISP's DNS service seems to be crap. My solution was to create my own DNS server behind the firewall and things have gotten better.
Vista is so good that one third of people buying new computers are "downgrading" to XP. Even better, the numbers are probably worse. This fellow tried to get his money back from Lenovo for the OS. The results were so arduous he decided to just tell the story, rather than sign a nondisclosure agreement they wanted for the cash. In the mean time, that Genuine Advantage will bring you a lovely black screen if you are deemed unworthy.
Comcast, rather than admit to illegally blocking traffic has decided to simply drop unlimited service. Of course, their service was never unlimited; now their just quantifying it to avoid future lawsuits.
