I think I do one of these posts a year. I wish it didn't enter into my consciousness enough to draw an encore, but there it is. Football sucks!
As silly little sport geek distractions go, it's really no worse than of the others. However, its scheduling just seems the most messy and it's therefor the most likely to screw up what I want to watch on TV. Take the current gem, that was that's now nearly an hour longer than planned.
I understand that football jocks fail horribly at basic time keeping and when they say five minutes it's probably twenty. I don't like it, but I can expect it. But overtime? Can't the thick headed twits just call it a draw and go home?
Anyway, it's that time of year again. Here's hoping the jock itch is terminal.

Plus the various money prizes and sponsorships all depend on who wins.
Probably like that for real war, too, but we little folks don't hear about them until later.

Sports over runs, repeats in the middle of the season, etc., give me more time to do other things.

I guess that's the downside of having moved the tv out of what's now the baby's room into the living room...

We played an awful trial pursuit style game on Sunday. It had some sports questions, which I, of course, mocked. Some attendees liked sports.
It's hard watching people you like do stupid things. My feelings about sports fandom are unilaterally uncharitable. Sometimes I have to watch myself.
