An image caught my eye. It was kawaii in the extreme, a little hamtaro built from various Japanese foodstuffs. Not being satisfied with one image, I followed the post and viewed the rest of the images. I found them progressively more disturbing in their obsessive nature. The end poses the question, Do you like / Dislike Otakus??
I really hope this is satire, but it may not be.
As a side note, I thought I needed an anime icon for this kind of silliness. This caused me to search what's available online for "anime icon". If the otaku post left me a little twitchy, this killed brain cells. The few ones I liked were helpfully macroed with messages I didn't want.
How much Naruto can one person take? The show's still going in Japan and 220 episodes have aired. The handful I've seen are pretty inane, though no more so than stuff like Dragonball. I guess this is anime formula drek, like US sitcoms.
I settled on some kodama, little forest spirts as they are depicted in Princess Mononoke. I like them, they seem creepy and benevolent at the same time.
