Because I had fun reading other people's:

1. What is your SCA name? (You don't have to write the full name, just your first name if you want.)
Wystan Healfdene. In previous persona incarnations, I was Ursus Parvus and, for a brief Horde stint, Baavgai. Both prior names translate to "bear". To my knowledge, Wystan has nothing to do with bears, the original Saxon translates to something like "war stone."

2. What is your home kingdom?
East.

3. Have you ever lived in another kingdom? If so, where?
No, the crazies you know are always better.

4. Do you remember your first SCA event? When/what was it?
Yes. 1987. Something in Jersey / Carillion.

5. Do you have any awards? (You don't have to list them if you don't want)
None. I suspect I'm one of those folks people expect has something by now, since most of my friends are honorable somethings. I'm not campaigning for anything, so I'm not worried.

6. Do you list them after your name in communications like e-mail?
See above.

7. Do you have a device?
It's crawling through process, don't want to jinx it yet.

8. Do you use it? On what?
See above.

9. Are you on all the kingdom/society lists available to you, or do you avoid them?
Some, until they go into reruns.

10. Do you keep your Pennsic/Estrella/Gulf Wars/etc. site tokens?
Nope. I don't take pictures, either.

11. Do you keep the favors you've been given by royalty/friends/SOs, etc.? Do you wear them all?
Keep, yes, it would be rude not to. Wear, no, unless there's a special reason to.

12. Do you call your friends by their SCA names even when you're not at an event?
Sure, if that's what they like to answer to. Which ever name I think will get a heads up.

13. Do you go out to dinner in garb after an event?
Not always, but often. Not so much a "freak the locals" thing as a "can't be bothered to change" thing.

14. Do you have all kinds of garb, or do you generally stick to one period?
Currently aiming for proper Viking / Saxon kit. Though, if it's really hot, I'm not above throwing an aba over an under tunic.

15. How many interests do you have within the SCA? What's your favorite?
Honestly, everything interests me. Food, leather work, metal work, texts, textiles, philosophy, literature, games, bone work, the little bugs you get red from... I'll often have a lucet on me, I've taught innumerable people how to use one.

16. Do you have an SCA-oriented web site (to show off projects, keep dress diaries, etc.)?
Sort of, it's on my to do list. I hate web work. Soon, really. This shows where I'm at: http://www.chaingang.org/

17. Do you maintain a hairstyle that is more period style than modern? How about any other part of your appearance?
Sure. Hair down past shoulders and full beard. I've been told I look like a "proper Viking" by demo tourists in only a T tunic and belt. Seriously, they take pictures. Viking was really my only option...

18. Do you tell "No $###, there I was" stories? (Admit it.)
I can't recall names and my lexicon isn't vast, but I know people...

19. Authenticity is Fun. Yes or no?
Yes. Not to the point of picking on other people about it, but personally, it's nice to be as close as we can figure out how to be.

20. Is there one modern thing at events that really bugs you?
If there's one, there's many, so no. We're all people are playing to same game, everyone interprets the rules differently. Well, if you start talking sports I'll beat you. Wait, that has nothing to do with events.

Bonus Question! 21. Everyone has a shameful garb/accessory mistake hidden somewhere in their past. What's yours? (We're all friends here, we promise not to laugh. Much.)
I think the T tunic constructed of modern T shirt poly was bad. Mostly because it clung like a wife beater and I never intended to share that much of myself. And no one told me how bad it was. ( You bastards. )
