I got a haircut today. Yes, for most folks this is no great news, but I'm, um, special. I haven't cut my hair in well over a decade. No, not because of a wager or a hairy religious cult; I'm just don't like barbers...
Actually, I simply like long hair. I can tie it out of the way and be done. If I were to admit to having a style, it would be extreme casual, flavored with a profound disinterest in suffering for, or bothering with, fashion. I have a beard that I trim no more than once a fortnight, for similar reasons.
Is my hair vastly different? Not really. But it is different and that's weird enough for me. The pony tail isn't so short it's a dork knob, but it's short. At least all the frizz is gone, which was the point of the exercise.
I feel lighter.
