Neither of my parents were born in the USA Mum's an Aussie and Dad's a Limey.

I was born in Oklahoma city, OK.

I was adopted.

All papers pertaining to that adoption and birth were quite possibly vaporized by homeland terrorists.

My left eye is dominant, but I'm right handed. I understand this is a little freakish.

I've always owned cat's but I'm allergic to them. If I stay away from cats for more than a month my resistance goes away, it takes a week to get it back.

I dislike all professional sports. Not playing, just watching.

I like the dark. Not in a goth, I live for death, kind of way. I just find darkness soothing.

I'm a real picky eater. Until the age of three the only solid food I'd eat was bacon and corn on the cob. I'm much better now, really.

I as athletic as a sack of hair. Really, the sack might catch or block something, I'd dodge at the last minute.

I have a large muscle disease. Well, that what they told my parents, probably to make them feel better about the sack of hair thing.

I broke my arm so bad as a kid that it still has a weird bend in it. Bends out, particularly good for archery. Sadly, it's also a little weaker.

I made my first hook rug at age of seven. Fabric arts amuse me. They're all manly fabric arts, really.

I'm the best computer programmer I know. Most of this is fairly humble, I didn't want to get boring.

Other serious career choices were writer or teacher. I thought CompSci was dull in college, my BS is in English Lit.

I edit everything I post or show to others at least three to five times. If not more. I still get some wrong, it's sad, actually.

I still watch Saturday morning cartoons. Even though the networks don't spend dime one and everyone subcontracts their stuff from overseas.

I don't follow any major religion. On consecutive hospital stays, I declared myself a Taoist and Buddhist. Unfortunately, no one ever visited based on that. Well, a confused pastor...

I'm a Reiki Master. I'm not going to explain this one. Reiki is kind of like acupuncture without all the pointy objects. I'm not real active with it anymore, but the cat likes it.

Occasionally, when I see a really cool sunset, I say aloud "good one" or "thanks". Don't know who or what I'm thanking, but it seems like a nice thing to do.

Maybe not so freakish, after all, so am I :)-- oh, wait.

No, really, I did a project in college and found quite a few people with eye dominance opposite from their handedness. How's your handwriting? Mine's terrible, and so was many of those others I found with this. Same with the sports thing. We learned it when I was a Sr. in High School. I took archery and the teacher tested eye dominance and started me with a left handed bow. Imagine my surprise when I actually hit the right things. Up until then I was the kid who would swear the ball went through the tennis racket, bat, lacross stick, whatever. No, I didn't take my eyes off the ball, I just wasn't using the correct one to focus and the ball wasn't where I saw it!

Interesting.

Archery I'm actually ok at, because the better eye sights closer to the target. I heard about opposite eye dominance on TV and they mentioned it was beneficial for baseball players for the same reason, from a right handed stance the left eye is closer to the ball.

My hand writing is actually pretty good. There are a few other factors at work, though.

One is that I'm mildly dyslexic and write slow. There are just some things that don't seem to get burnt until my brain as automatic, so I have to concentrate to write. I've typed all my adult life, so my long hand never had a chance to degrade. However, because joined letters never really stuck and everything I write wants things printed, I adopted block letters early in life. My printing used to look ok too, but now it's gotten a little sloppy over the years.
