The Olympics is more entertaining than I expected. With a lot less "human interest" drivel than in TV event's past and more actual events. (Obviously the cheaper way to go. ) Granted, what they choose to show is still nonsensical. In what corner of the twilight zone does synchronized diving count as a sport?
Professional sports is not known for being sympathetic to age. However, many of the people doing to wining seem to be veterans of the event, on their second or third shot at the Olympics. I suspect part of this may have to do with the drive of the Ritalin generation.
I often feel myself an old fart, at not yet 40, shaking my head an people who just don't seem to learn from their mistakes. Perhaps, strangely enough, that may be a factor. Or maybe it's the a sad genetic joke.
