I like movies. I'm not an expert or a snob about it. And, truth be told, the occasional stinker can amuse me greatly. This is why I'm so disturbed at the prospect of Uwe Boll yielding to the cries of critics.

Yes, Uwe is not only responsible for BloodRayne, a movie so horribly bad you can't help but laugh, but an entire collection of mock worthy fodder.

It's unfair to blame Mr. Boll. After all, he keeps getting bank rolled. There must be some kind of audience, though doubtless as anxious to reveal themselves a members of a porno store's preferred customer list. It seems a little unfair single this guy out on the basis of taste. Surely most of the Hollywood megahit machine would be in danger then.

I like Ubuntu, I really do. But it's starting to make too many assumptions about my brain dead end user self. And you know what happens when you assume...

I hate the NetworkManager program. I use static IP addresses most of the time. This little piece of cuteness has now screwed me up on three separated occasions on multiple boxes. I know what it is now, I know to look for it, and I know it must die.

However, on a mobile machine that's hunting for wifi it's quite clever. I like it on the cloudbook. It means no static IP on the thing, but that's fine for a moble device. For the less mobile devices, with no DHCP, such "help" is unwelcome.
