For some reason, I'm having some supremely geeky mental associations today. While perusing Amazon ( I need more penguin mints ), I spotted the image on this page.

The cover has a particular inversion of light and dark colors. A smiling woman, arms folded. On it's own, not particularly amusing, but it made me blink, do a double take, and chuckle.

You see, in the late '80s there was a man who was a computer god. His tools were required for all PC maintenance. His file explorer, ubiquitous. His books, bibles. His folded arm image was so recognizable that it's a US trademark. This is this image that the woman is portraying, on a product from a company that bought his, but still uses his name.

That man is Peter Norton and his wiki bio sports the very book cover that immediately came to my mind.

So, of course, my first thought on seeing that first picture was, "Holy crap, Peter's a chick now?" Yep, brain went there and I had to share.
