I don't know the reason, or if I'm unique in this, but there's something about high humidity that makes my joints ache. And not just the ones with past trauma, every piece cartilage in my body has something to say about the weather today. From my inner ear to my ankle, nothing is happy.

After a profoundly unpleasant drive through clinging tepid damp fog, I feel like I've been run through the rinse cycle with rock salt. Still, once I hit a drop in humidity the pain will subside; though if it drops too quick I'll cramp.

Thinking such happy thoughts, I enter the work building to find absolutely zero air conditioning. All the paper I see has peeled up around the edges from the moisture. Other early office arrivals are giving each other that "shoot me now" look.

Hopefully someone with more corporate influence than I will get a work crew on it. Meanwhile, the computer room didn't melt, it has separate environmental controls. I might be playing terminal operator today.
