The Cuckoo is nature's changeling, surviving by convincing unwitting parents it really is the child they should take care of. Our new cat has a little of that.
On his first appearance, Parker was a mere five pounds and quite diminutive. Oh, so cute, we have to take care of him! Four days later he's three pounds heaver and looks considerably older. The kitten we adopted seems to be an instantly a mature cat and he's taking over the place.
Knack has accepted him and not a moment too soon, he kicked her ass tonight. Knack has experience, at least. She stared him down more than once. Unfortunately for her, I think she's now his favorite toy.
Did I mention Parker has fleas? That is, we have fleas? Well, his shocking growth spurt has moved up his gender reassignment surgery ( to It). Now he can look forward to a dip as well. He's a tough little guy, I'm sure he'll survive the indignity, maybe.
